Ian Repia-king Edmund Hillary School 1 Hunua Road Papakura,Auckland Wednesday 29 November 2017 Dear Frucor, I would like to thank you the wonderful day on wednesday that was cool.My first activity was cool and not the cool part was that I thought I could help and the not so cool part was not helping and instead sitting on the bean bags drinking my water and sitting on the bean bags with troy.After that activity we went to the dress up relay when it was my turn I looked ridiculous and stupid but when it was other people turns I laughed at them but I just seemed to not laugh at myself.At morning tea we had just banana and water it was not much but at least we got something and after I had a drink and had something to eat I went for a little play.When it was nearing the end Angelina from room 2 said on the behalf of edmund hillary and myself I would like to thank you for this wonderful day and bbq but my favourite part was they put their spare time into us and other schools but all we could do is just say thank you they should deserve something much special and love it.If you want to know more information about how I felt click here.

I enjoyed my first activity, the one in room ten with the basketball hoop it was really cool after that I played maths bingo I nearly won but instead I came second in the middle of the event. The day was also cool because we got to paint our hands and face. I got a tiger face warrior on my face. I love KPMG not because of you giving us Easter eggs or Christmas presents it is because you put your spare time into Edmund Hillary and you chose us out of all the schools in New Zealand so I want to thank you and if you want to know more click here to see how I felt about the fun day. Title:My happiest moment Introduction:Me and my cousin played with me Me and my cousin played with each other along with his siblings he stayed home at my house while the rest of my other cousins and auntie.He stayed over for the whole holidays it was so much fun even though we had a big fight that we smashed a window it there was glass all over the floor. Nana growled at us for having a fight and breaking the window at first she thought me and my cousin would sort the situation out like real men and grown up men like acting our age but she stop us when we broke the window. After the day we went to the south island it was the best day of my life even though I have been their before I was just so glad to see my old friends again I was just so glad and my friends that are girls I was just so relieved but my favourite part was seeing my old teacher again. I was so glad my teachers name was called Mr Ng he was the best teacher ever he was always nice we always went out for games me him and the rest of my classmates were playing games like line tag,bull rush when you have to tackle people down and my favourite game was paper scissors rock. In two more weeks we went home in papakura it was a lot of fun with my cousin in oamaru (oamaru is a town in the south island near Dunedin) when we were at the Auckland airport my nana was waiting for me and Kauri to pick us up and take us both home I had a fun time in Oamaru. Conclusion:It was the best day of my intire life the end.

Is wagging the right thing to do?

Introduction:Is wagging the right thing to do. Wagging is not the right thing to do because if you wag for too long you might get put down a grade or a classroom.Another reason for why wagging is not the right thing to do because in your adult life you will not be able to count and might give the person at the register to less money and they will ring the police and you will be sent to court and if you fail you will be sent to jail in between 5 to 10 years in prison.Another reason for why wagging is the wrong thing to do is if you want a job and they give you a piece of paper to tell where you work and you would not be able to read.

Every year throughout the whole country our ‘rubbish mountain’ grows. We throw our rubbish into our bins and forget all about it. Where does it go? It gets taken to the local ‘landfill’ site and is buried in the ground. We often call the landfill, the rubbish tip. What happens then? As it rots it produces an explosive gas called methane and liquid filled with nasty poisons sink into our water sources (rivers), polluting them. This becomes a threat to fish, bird life and plants that grow near the rivers. Much of the rubbish we throw away can be ‘recycled’ and used again. · paper · glass · metals · plastic · kitchen and garden waste can be turned into compost. · old furniture and clothes can be sent to be resold or re-used. · Mobile phones · Ink cartridges from printers. Each week in America every household creates huge amounts of rubbish. It’s thought that they throw away. · 3 kg of paper · 1.25 kg of glass · 2 kg of cans and 1kg of plastic All this rubbish goes to a local ‘landfill site’. Why throw it away when we can re-use? Recycling is good for the environment because we don’t just keep taking raw materials to make things but can make things from the rubbish. Also we aren’t putting rubbish in the ground that turns into poisons. And, we aren’t taking up precious land to bury our rubbish in. Recycling questions: 1. Why is recycling important? Recycling is very important as waste has a huge negative impact on the natural environment. Harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses are released from rubbish in landfill sites. A landfill site (also known as a tip, dump, rubbish dump, garbage dump or dumping ground and historically as a midden) is a site for the disposal of waste materials by burial and the oldest form of waste treatment (although the burial part is modern; historically, refuse was just left in piles or thrown into pits). 3. Why is the landfill site bad for the environment? Greenhouse gas. When organic material such as food scraps and green waste is put in landfill, it is generally compacted down and covered. This removes the oxygen and causes it to break down in an anaerobic process. Eventually this releases methane, a greenhouse gas that is 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide. 4. Our teachers at edmund hillary school are doing their very best to teach all of edmund hillary school kids about to recycle properly and if we do not our homes will be full with garbage that get mouldy and smelly.That is why the teachers are teaching us especially room 1’s teacher is teaching her student about it.She says if we do not recycle and put rubbish and milk cartons in the right bins we will have no more free milk we will run out of food because we can not recycle because we are putting the recyclables in the right bin and then we will run out food and if the people who gives us the free milk catch any milk cartons into the rubbish bin then we will have no more free milk and if we put heaps of rubbish in the landfill then we will run out of space to live. 1.For pot culture, the soil should consist of three parts turfy loam to one of leaf-mould and thoroughly rotted manure, adding enough pure grit to keep the compost porous. 2.The urine should be allowed to putrefy, as in its decomposition a large amount of ammonia is formed, which should then be fixed by sulphuric acid or gypsum; or it may be applied to the growing crops after being freely diluted with water or absorbed in a compost heap.
